Frank Smith

As the SVP, Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer at First Command Financial Services, Frank is responsible for enterprise information security and data privacy, enterprise data management, all aspects of business resiliency and disaster recovery, as well as working with both internal and external auditors to ensure proper controls are in place.

Previously, Frank served as an executive consultant for Farr Systems, Chief Information Officer for BenefitMall, and as the Chief Technology Officer for Burlington Resources. He brings more than 35 years of IT experience to his current role.


Jason Estes

Jason Estes currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for First Command. Jason is responsible for the development, support, and infrastructure for all applications at First Command (ACE, Command Center, HUB, Envestnet, etc.)

Prior to joining First Command, Jason led digital enablement engagements mainly in the financial services, healthcare, and energy segments, with a range of specialties and capabilities such as marketing technology platforms, e-Commerce, application modernization/cloud services, and data analytics.


Sean Hayward

Sean Hayward is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for First Command Financial Services. In his role, Sean oversees the company’s data management strategy, transforming data from simply being a resource to serving as a catalyst for progress. He leads the Enterprise Data Team in its efforts to enable data-driven decisions with real-time analytics, powered by AI technologies. He partners with business stakeholders to align data initiatives with their strategies, and to ensure they have the high quality, real-time data and analytics needed to achieve their objectives.

Upon joining First Command in early 2023, Sean brought more than 20 years of data and analytics experience to the company. He has an extensive background in leading data management initiatives across a diverse set of industries. Most recently, he was a senior principal for Slalom Consulting’s Data & Analytics practice.
